El Paso Blanked by Armstrong Monday, August 21st, 2028 Mike Armstrong shut out the El Paso Chihuahuas 4-0 on a 3-hit masterpiece for the Sacramento River Cats at Raley Field today. "He was kind of teasing them with his off-speed stuff, and his fastball was moving everywhere," Sacramento skipper said afterward. Armstrong registered 13 strikeouts and issued 1 walk in pitching a gem. "We just didn't swing the bats very well. Or else he just pitched good, whichever way you want to look at it," said El Paso manager after the defeat. Thus far this season Armstrong has saved 0 games.
