Zephyrs Caballero AC Hitter of the Week Monday, August 17th, 2026 23-year-old Tony Caballero made a few New Orleans headlines during this past week as the rookie right fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and American Conference officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 9 hits in 25 at-bats to put up a .360 average. Caballero collected 3 home runs, 7 RBIs and scored 6 runs. For the season Caballero is currently batting .270 with 29 home runs and 87 RBIs. In 114 games he has reached base at a .335 rate and scored 54 runs to date. |
