Express Héctor González Wins AAA West Award Monday, August 19th , 2041 Round Rock Express third baseman Héctor González walked away with the Triple-A West Player of the Week Award today after putting up some impressive numbers over the past seven days. "The Express fans are really behind me right now," said the 32-year-old. "That helps. They give you the confidence to go out there and do better." González batted .556 (10-for-18) with 2 home runs and 4 RBIs this week on his way to the award. This season González is swinging the bat at a .258 rate with 104 hits in 403 at-bats. To date he has hit 13 home runs, scored 48 runs and driven in 54. |
