Sacramento-Albuquerque Brawl, Díaz and Brown Suspended Tuesday, August 20th , 2041 If there wasn't a history between Ernesto Díaz of Sacramento and Eric Brown of Albuquerque, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 3 and 7 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today. "We're both really competitive," Díaz said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it." Presently Díaz is batting .239 with 6 home runs and 42 RBIs. He has played in 99 games and scored 35 times. This year Brown has delivered 14 saves. In 38 relief appearances, he has 41 strikeouts in 63.2 innings with a 3.39 ERA. His season won-lost mark is 3-6. |
