What does it take to win the Outstanding Pitcher Award?

Just ask Ted Sharp of the Reno Aces -- the latest Pacific Conference Outstanding Pitcher Award winner.

"My dad always told me to dream big and dream always," he said. "It's not like I shoot for the Outstanding Pitcher Award," he said. "I have big aspirations for what I want to do in this game and what I want to achieve in a long career."

The Aces pitching ace made some of his dreams come true this year, winning 11 games and losing only 8. In 30 starts, Sharp registered a 3.79 ERA and limited other clubs to a .263 batting average. He fanned 113 in 185.1 innings and issued 79 walks.

He received 16 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Bob Anderson of the Sacramento River Cats finished second in voting, while Clarence Nelson of the Sacramento River Cats finished third.
