Sounds Portillo Lost for Year Sunday, April 25th, 2032 The season is finished for Jorge Portillo of the Nashville Sounds. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Sounds center fielder suffered shoulder inflammation while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the San Antonio Missions. Team doctors said it would take at least 5 months to heal. This year Portillo has collected a .306 batting average to date with 15 hits in 49 at-bats, 14 RBIs, 3 home runs and scored 9 times. He has played in 14 games. |
