Super Swinger -- Ortega Slams 5 Hits Tuesday, September 10th , 2041 Jorge Ortega did a number on the Flying Squirrels in the Hartford 22-0 victory today, and the number was 5. The Yard Goats shortstop banged out 5 hits in 5 at-bats at New Britain Stadium to lead his club past the Richmond Flying Squirrels. "I felt good in the batter's box today," he said later. "I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done." Jorge Ortega hit a two-run triple in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 6th, walked in a run in the 7th and doubled in the 8th.
