Portland Defeats Erie Saturday, September 21st , 2041 The Portland Sea Dogs ignited a huge celebration as they beat the Erie SeaWolves 3-0 to win the Round 1. Portland won the series 4-1, capturing the title for the 12th time. "We stepped it up at the right time, and now we're the champs," said Portland manager . "It's a great feeling." The champs finished the regular season 103-39 and claimed first place in the Northeast Division.
