Sea Dogs Ace AA NE's Best Pitcher Friday, October 4th , 2041 It was a glorious year for Dan Bailey of the Portland Sea Dogs. He finished the season with 14 victories and only 8 losses, with an impressive 2.69 ERA. The talented Sea Dogs pitcher started 26 games and struck out 156 batters in 170.1 innings and won the Double-A Northeast Outstanding Pitcher Award. "It means a lot," Bailey said. "I hadn't really had a chance to sit down and think about it yet. It feels good right now. I can't really put it into words, but I'm sure later on tonight when I have a chance to sit down with my family and think about it, I'll have some words for it. But right now, I'm just happy that it happened this year." He received 4 first place votes out of a possible 12.
