Archuleta Socks It to Flying Squirrels, Cracks 5 Hits Tuesday, July 30th , 2041 Akron second baseman Aurelio Archuleta had a big day at Senator Thomas J. Dodd Memorial Stadium today against the Richmond Flying Squirrels. The 22-year-old, who is not typically considered a big threat with the bat, went 5-for-5 and led the RubberDucks to a 9-2 triumph over Richmond. "Hey, I'm as surprised as you guys are," Archuleta said in his postgame comments, smiling as he scolded the press corps for underestimating him. "Maybe I'm not so bad at the plate after all." Aurelio Archuleta doubled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
