July's Best Batter Announced Saturday, August 1st, 2026 Ricky Schultz may be much younger than other hitters in the Texas League, but he performed like a seasoned veteran in July to win the Batter of the Month award. The 23-year-old Springfield right fielder hit .353 with 7 home runs, 22 RBIs and 16 runs scored. Looking at his season stats, Schultz has compiled a .278 batting average and a .428 on-base percentage, while hitting 17 home runs and driving in 49 runs. |
