Texas League Premier Pitcher is Howard Saturday, August 1st, 2026 In July, Jeff Howard tore through the Texas League like a seasoned veteran -- quite impressive for a player only 24 years old. The young Springfield starter posted a 5-0 mark and an ERA of 2.36 to earn the Pitcher of the Month award. In 34.1 innings he collected 24 strikeouts while limiting the opposition to a .208 average. This season Howard has compiled a 11-2 mark, 2.47 ERA and made 17 starts. |
