Cardinals Alvarado and RoughRiders Unknown Suspended for Fight Thursday, June 23rd , 2039 Luis Alvarado of the Springfield Cardinals and Jim Unknown of the Frisco RoughRiders will be on the sidelines for a few days. They have been suspended for 4 and 8 games respectively by the league office for causing the bench-emptying free-for-all at the recent Cardinals-RoughRiders game at Hammons Field. Neither player had any comment about the suspensions. Both clubs told BNN Alvarado and Unknown will begin serving them soon. Alvarado is hitting .277 this year with 2 home runs and 19 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .351, 11 walks and scored 15 times. |
