Ellison Pitches Lancaster to Shutout Win Monday, June 4th, 2029 The Lancaster JetHawks shut out the High Desert Mavericks 7-0 today behind the strong pitching of Bob Ellison. Ellison surrendered only 1 hit in recording the complete-game victory, and struck out 7. Following the last out, Ellison appeared to celebrate a little too boisterously for High Desert manager , who could be seen scolding the famously outspoken right-hander as the clubs left the field. Ellison's own manager then intervened with some words for his counterpart. The Mavericks skipper would not comment on the exchange, but at the JetHawks press conference, Ellison confirmed that it was regarding the celebration. "He basically told me I was being a lousy winner," Ellison said. "And I told him he was being a lousy loser," Lancaster manager added.
