League Suspends Picot 2 Games Thursday, July 11th , 2041 The baseball commissioner has suspended Storm shortstop Mike Picot 2 games for arguing too vehemently on a called third strike in the Inland Empire game at Lake Elsinore Diamond. Apparently he said the magic words and was ejected by the home plate umpire. He went into the dugout, then returned to the field, resumed his argument with the umpire and had to be restrained by his first base coach. Picot said he shouldn't have gone back on the field. "I was pretty mad. I was all over the place." This year Picot is hitting .295 with no home runs and 14 RBIs in 65 games played. He also boasts an OBP of .355 with 15 walks and 20 runs scored. |
