Chris Massey Hurt, Will Miss Rest of Year Sunday, August 4th , 2041 After injuring himself, Nuts starting pitcher Chris Massey headed straight to the hospital. He was removed from the game as a precaution after throwing a pitch, and the team's worst fears were confirmed when it turned out to be a little more serious. Massey will miss at least 10-11 months with a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament. On the season Massey has compiled a 2-9 mark with a 5.31 ERA in 18 starts. In pitching 79.2 innings he has 53 strikeouts and 51 walks while limiting the opposition to a .287 batting average. |
