Great Lakes's Avilés to Miss Season

The Great Lakes Loons were dealt a blow today when starting pitcher Jesús Avilés left the game with an undisclosed injury. The team has now revealed that Avilés has suffered a torn flexor tendon in his elbow and will most likely miss the rest of the season as a result of the injury.
Up to now Avilés has recorded a record of 0-1. In 1 starts he has fanned 13 batters in 12 innings with a 3.75 ERA.
