Columbia Shuts Out Shorebirds, Ayala Winner Sunday, September 20th , 2043 Edgardo Ayala hurled nothing but zeros at the Delmarva Shorebirds in an impressive outing at Grayson Stadium today. The Columbia pitcher allowed 8 hits, fanned 9 and walked 0 in blanking Delmarva, 8-0. "There were a lot of frustrated guys walking back to the dugout today," Delmarva manager said. "Not a fun day."
