Aponte Super -- No-Hits Delmarva Sunday, September 15th , 2041 It was the game that pitchers dream about: the no-hitter. It happened today at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium. Manny Aponte of the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers was right on target against the Delmarva Shorebirds in a 5-0 victory. Aponte zeroed in on them, holding them hitless with 15 strikeouts and 2 walks. "I just had it all today," Aponte told BNN reporters after the game. "Very good stuff and great location. That is a combination that's hard to beat." To this point in the season he has had no saves.
