Duke SAL's Best of the Week Monday, May 23rd, 2033 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the South Atlantic League, but last week Steve Duke of the West Virginia Power reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Duke rocked opposing pitching for a .667 average (8-for-12), 2 home runs and 2 RBIs to come away with the award. This year Duke has collected a .444 batting average to date with 20 hits in 45 at-bats, 13 RBIs, 3 home runs and scored 6 times. He has played in 14 games. |
