5-for-5 Day for Bowles Sunday, May 29th, 2033 Some moments become linked with a particular player's career forever. Ron Bowles of the Hickory Crawdads had one of those moments when he went 5-for-5 at the plate today in the 12-10 win over the West Virginia Power at Appalachian Power Park. "I won't forget this anytime soon, and I don't expect it to happen too often," the 23-year-old shortstop told reporters in the postgame interview. "I'll be happy to just get a hit or two every day. Enough to hang around the league a while longer. Like 10, maybe 15 more years." Ron Bowles doubled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, hit a two-run triple in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 6th, walked in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
