South Atlantic League Selects Best Performer Monday, September 5th, 2033 It was announced today by the South Atlantic League that Lexington third baseman Jesús Gutiérrez had received the Player of the Week Trophy for his superlative play last week. The Lexington third baseman wreaked havoc on opposing pitchers, pounding them for a .417 average (5-for-12) with 5 home runs and 10 RBIs on his way to claiming the honor. Currently Gutiérrez is hitting .271 and has collected 23 home runs, 83 RBIs and scored 68 times, while playing in 79 games. |
