Big Day for Ross: Swats 5 Hits Monday, April 14th , 2042 It was high-fives all around for Dave Ross at Salem Memorial Baseball Stadium today. He got them from his teammates and he got them at the plate during an outstanding hitting performance against the Delmarva Shorebirds. Ross smashed 5 hits in 5 at-bats on his monster day, leading his club to a 9-5 win. "Dave was hitting everything," said Red Sox manager . "It really was a special game for him." In the opposing dugout, Shorebirds manager told BNN beat writers that Ross "ambushed" the club. "Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but we'll have another chance," the skipper said. "Hopefully, Ross oversleeps next time." Dave Ross doubled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, hit a two-run double in the 4th, doubled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
