Nelson Grabs A+ East Reliever of the Year Award Thursday, October 17th , 2041 Kevin Nelson said he thinks hitters often underestimate him, as he's only 26 years old. But he'll certainly be getting a lot more respect now, as the Greensboro Grasshoppers rising star has won the High-A East Reliever of the Year Award for 2041. He captured the award on the strength of his 1.70 ERA over 79.1 innings. He also had 4 saves in 36 relief appearances, 175 strikeouts and only 52 walks. He received 14 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Chris Byers of the Rome Braves finished second in voting, while Rod Douglas of the Greensboro Grasshoppers finished third.
