League Punishes Pair for Fighting Saturday, July 30th, 2033 Steve Thompson of Aberdeen and Joel Gray of Williamsport were the main participants in a recent bench-clearing brawl and today the league handed out its punishment. Thompson will have to miss 4 games for his part in the brawl, while Gray was given 8 games. League officials announced their suspensions today. So far this year in 27 games Thompson is hitting .237 with 1 home run, 9 RBIs and 9 runs scored. Gray has started 6 times this year, pitched 31.1 innings, fanned 19 batters and walked 11. His current record is 3 wins and 2 losses with a 5.17 ERA. |
