No Late-Season Magic Coming: Lowell Out of Playoffs Thursday, September 8th, 2033 The Lowell Spinners may still need a piece or two before becoming championship material in New York-Penn League. The team has fallen short of its playoff goals this year, being officially eliminated from the playoffs today. "I feel like we have a great group," Spinners manager said. "We happened to come up short or our goal, though. We'll re-tool and be back stronger next season." The Spinners have missed the playoffs 14 times in their 18 years as a New York-Penn League franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 10th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2022. Lowell has won the Round 2 3 times in their history. |
