Week's #1 Player: Tri-City's Hackworth Monday, September 12th, 2033 20-year-old Erik Hackworth made a few Tri-City headlines during this past week as the rookie right fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and New York-Penn League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 11 hits in 24 at-bats to put up a .458 average. Hackworth collected 2 home runs, 4 RBIs and scored 7 runs. Hitting .215 to date, Hackworth has 7 home runs and 32 RBIs.
