Spikes Win Tight Pinckney Division Race Wednesday, September 14th, 2033 The State College Spikes feel they will be riding a wave of momentum after clinching the Pinckney Division title in the final game of the season. "We showed our true character to get this done so late in the season," said reliever Bernardo Marrero. "It's certainly a relief - better late than never." The club's 50-26 record is what has led to the 2nd division title in team history. Team manager had an ear-to-ear grin when the clinch became official. "That's a weight off my shoulders, that's for sure," he said. "It's time to bring the 1st Round 2 championship to State College." |
