Norwich Sweeps into the Round 2
Monday, September 19th, 2033
Many baseball pundits expected a close series in the New York-Penn League Round 1. It turned out quite a bit different.

The Norwich Sea Unicorns swept aside the State College Spikes to advance to the Round 2, winning the final game by a 4-3 score at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park.

The series MVP was center fielder Raúl Germán, who hit .385 with a .467 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 5 RBI and scored 3 runs.

"We expected this series to go right down to the wire, so to sweep is a bit of a surprise," he said. "But we'll take it."

The Norwich Sea Unicorns don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the West Virginia Black Bears - Hudson Valley Renegades series. Hudson Valley leads the series 2 games to 0. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
