Saunders Gets 5 Hits Sunday, September 8th , 2041 Shawn Saunders of the Reds was unstoppable in today's 15-6 victory over the ACL Colorado Rockies at Newport News Grounds. He battered them for 5 hits in 6 at-bats. "Boy, I was on the mark today," said the ACL Cincinnati shortstop after the game. "I could see the ball real well. It's a great feeling to do this. And besides, 5-for-6 won't hurt your batting average like 0-for-5 will." Shawn Saunders singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Chad Martin in the 5th, singled in the 8th, walked in the 10th, struck out in the 11th and singled in the 12th.
