González Goes Deep 3 Times Saturday, May 10th , 2042 Juan González brutalized the FCL Seattle Mariners pitching staff, launching three home runs in today's 15-1 victory at Sundevils Ballpark. The FCL Arizona Diamondbacks left fielder was red-hot, the ball just exploding off his bat all day. "I don't try to hit homers," he said later. "I try to go out there and put a good swing on the ball, and sometimes it is going to go out of the park. I didn't try to hit the first one or the second one or the third one." For the game, he went 4-for-5 with 6 RBIs and 4 runs scored. "Too much Juan González today," Mariners manager said. "That's my assessment of the game. That's what our problems boiled down to." Juan González walked in the 1st, struck out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 3rd, hit an RBI triple in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 6th and hit a three-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 8th. So far on the season González is hitting .397 with 9 home runs, 29 RBIs and 26 runs scored. He has 29 hits and played in 20 games. |
