Canniff on Fire, Strikes out 15 Red Sox Thursday, August 29th , 2041 Everything was working for Kevin Canniff today at Keys Ballpark. He had the perfect delivery. The ball was moving. The fastball was working. In an unforgettable performance, the 26-year-old Canniff fanned 15 Red Sox and sparked the FCL Mexico City Padres to a 6-3 victory over FCL Boston. He left Red Sox hitters mumbling and muttering at the plate. And when he needed a strikeout, he got it. "I don't know if there are many times that I've seen him throw better," said FCL Mexico City manager . "His location and command were really something." In addition to collecting 15 strikeouts over 6.1 innings, Canniff allowed 2 hits and 1 walk in a superlative outing. "I thought I'd make it easy on the guys today," Canniff said with a smile.
