FCL Ottawa's Bean Goes Ballistic with 5 Hits Wednesday, September 11th , 2041 The 5th time was not the charm for Randy Bean today. The third baseman for the FCL Ottawa Lynx hit the milestone today at Ballpark of Shreveport, but it was the FCL Baltimore Orioles that salvaged a 13-10 victory. Bean finished with a 5-for-5 line at the plate, and it still wasn't enough. "He was not an easy out, that's for sure," FCL Baltimore manager said to the press in the postgame interview. "I'm just glad we held everybody else in check and got the win." Bean declined to speak to reporters at length following the game, saying only that "no loss is a good one." Randy Bean singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Jeremiah Parker in the 8th. This season Bean is swinging the bat at a .159 pace. He has hit 7 home runs and scored 20 times, while driving in 23. His on-base percentage is .255 and he has played in 78 games.
