Guera Stretches Hit String to 36 Sunday, August 21st, 2033 Màximo Guera, first baseman for the Great Falls Voyagers, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 36 games with 2 hits in his club's 2-1 victory today over the Ogden Raptors at Lindquist Field today. "Not the outcome we wanted," Ogden manager said. "There's never a good time to lose, and it's never fun to be on the wrong end of somebody else's accomplishment." Màximo Guera doubled in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, struck out in the 7th and walked in the 9th. This season Guera is batting .430 with 2 home runs. He has scored 41 runs and driven in 22. |
