Dominant Year Wins Bartol PIO Outstanding Hitter Award Monday, October 17th, 2033
A pitcher being voted the most valuable player in his league is a rare feat, and this year it did indeed happen. The 2033 Pioneer League Outstanding Hitter Award has gone to Idaho Falls Chukars ace Carmem Bartol after a stellar 12-3 season.
In 16 starts he piled up 100.2 innings, 189 strikeouts, 25 walks and a 2.95 ERA. Bartol held opposing hitters to a .191 batting average and compiled a 3.4 WAR along the way.
