José Ángel Sidelined for Season
Saturday, July 29th, 2028
The doctors have spoken and José Ángel of the New York A (DSL) Yankees 2 didn't like what he heard. The 20-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Ángel sustained his season-ending injury during the Baltimore (DSL) Orioles 1 game yesterday at Baseball City Complex. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the New York A (DSL) medical staff reported Ángel had a torn meniscus and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4 months.

To this point in the season Ángel has 3 wins and 1 loss and a 2.56 ERA.
