Royals Souza Strikes out 16 Saturday, September 14th , 2041 DSL Kansas City Royals starter Iván Souza brought his best stuff to Kansas City Royals Complex today against the DSL Cincinnati Reds, striking out 16 batters in his club's 8-3 victory. In a strong performance, the 25-year-old Souza gave up 2 hits in his 5.2 innings of work and issued 3 walks. "I felt good out there," he said after the game. "My fastball had a lot of life and my knuckle curve was sharp. It was giving hitters fits and working well for me." For the season Souza has compiled a 9-1 record with a 1.34 ERA.
