Round 1 Goes the Distance, DSL Tampa Bay Prevails Friday, September 27th , 2041 It took a while, but the DSL Tampa Bay Rays finally disposed of the DSL New York (N) Mets 9-6 in the series clincher at Skyhawks Ballpark. Winning the finale gave the Rays the series, 4-3. They will now advance to the Round 2. The Most Valuable Player Award went to DSL Tampa Bay right fielder Juan Valverde. He batted .323 in the series, collecting 2 RBIs and scoring 7 runs. The DSL Tampa Bay Rays will play against the DSL Arizona Diamondbacks in the next round.
