López on a Tear, Hits for Cycle Tuesday, August 2nd, 2033 DSL Northeast (PIT2)'s Cristián López accomplished what few others have done -- he hit for the cycle, collecting a single, double, triple and home run in the same game. For the day, López finished 4-for-4 with 4 runs batted in and 2 runs scored and helped the Pirates 2 knock off the DSL Northeast (COL1) Rockies 1 13-1 at Colorado Rockies Complex. "I didn't even know I was about to hit for the cycle until after," López told reporters following the game. "One of the guys mentioned it when I got back to the dugout." Cristián López doubled in the 1st, walked in a run in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit an RBI triple in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 6th. So far this season López has gotten 31 hits in 122 at-bats for a .254 batting average with 16 home runs. His stats include 49 RBIs and 42 runs scored. He has played in 39 games.
