Vázquez Gets 400th Home Run Tuesday, April 22nd , 2042 The crowd roared -- they knew they were seeing history -- and Luis Antonio Vázquez was delighted, too. The 29-year-old Rays right fielder was making history with his 400th career homer. The crowd buzzed and roared again when Vázquez stuck his head out of the dugout for a curtain call. "Never, as a kid, did I ever think I'd hit even one," he told BNN after hitting No. 400 in a 9-2 victory over DSL Pittsburgh. Vázquez went 2-for-4 in the game, had 2 RBI, and scored 1 run.
