The slider was working. In an unforgettable performance, the 22-year-old Diéguez fanned 15 Athletics and sparked the DSL Baltimore Orioles to a 3-0 victory over DSL Oakland. He left Athletics hitters mumbling and muttering at the plate. And when he needed a strikeout, he got it. "I don't know if there are many times that I've seen him throw better," said DSL Baltimore manager . "His location and command were really something." In addition to collecting 15 strikeouts over 5.1 innings, Diéguez allowed 1 hit and 4 walks in a superlative outing. "I thought I'd make it easy on the guys today," Diéguez said with a smile.
