Leroy Brown Winner in National League Monday, July 1st, 2030 To survive in the bigs, you've got to be a scrapper like Leroy Brown. It never pays to take a day off from the batting cages or to shrug off the advice of the hitting coach. It all paid off today as Los Angeles's third baseman pinned down the National League Batter of the Month trophy today. He hit .419 in June collecting 12 home runs, 36 RBIs and 33 runs scored. To date Brown has chalked up a .432 average with 32 home runs, driven in 96 runs and scored 97 times. |
