García Goes on Rampage Against Mariners Friday, August 14th, 2026 It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Norberto García today. García went on a tear and cracked hit after hit off Seattle pitchers. When the dust settled on the diamond at Minute Maid Park, he had a 5-for-5 line and a day he will long remember. And the Houston Astros had a 15-3 victory over the Mariners. "Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but it won't get me a hit tomorrow," he joked in the postgame interview. Norberto García hit a two-run single in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Lionel Calderara in the 3rd, singled in the 5th and singled in the 7th.
