Division Series Goes the Distance, Jacksonville Prevails Friday, October 25th, 2024 Depending on your loyalties, the Division Series was either thrilling or heartbreaking. The series went down to its final game, with the Jacksonville Bombers and the Arizona Diamondbacks giving their fans plenty of drama. In the end, the Bombers came out on top, winning 7-3 at Chase Field today to take the series 3-2. "We're lucky to be going into the League Champioship Series," said Jacksonville pitcher Jose Altuve. "If all the series are like this, it'll definitely be an entertaining postseason." Altuve earned series MVP honors, hitting for a .409 average, with 1 home runs, 4 RBI and 3 runs scored. The Jacksonville Bombers will play against the Pittsburgh Pirates in the next round. Pittsburgh won their series against the Chicago (N) Cubs 3 games to 1.
