Chávez Put on Shelf, Listed DTD Monday, September 17th , 2040 The Los Angeles (A) Angels received some welcome news this morning. They will not need to place starting pitcher Juan Chávez on the injured list. During yesterday's game against the Cleveland Guardians, he was injured throwing a pitch. The injury, however, is not serious. The Los Angeles (A) star performer is listed as day-to-day with a mild hamstring strain. Checking out his stats for the season, Chávez has notched 12 wins and 6 losses in 29 starts. His ERA is 2.67 and he's struck out 154 batters in 171.2 innings. |
