Nola Baffles Texas Batters Wednesday, June 18th, 2025 Aaron Nola kept the Texas Rangers hitters from doing any damage at Minute Maid Park today. Texas could only muster 7 hits and take no walks against the right-handed Nola, who controlled them throughout the game as Houston took the contest, 1-0. Nola added 7 strikeouts in his complete-game effort. "I don't know if I was on or if they were off today," Nola told reporters after the shutout win. "But whatever it was, I hope it happens again next time." Nola has posted a 4-6 record for the year with a 3.39 ERA. Teams are hitting .264 against him and he has rung up 65 strikeouts in 93 innings.
