Year Over for Reds Hughes
Saturday, June 5th, 2027
Doctors in Cincinnati said Chris Hughes might not play anymore this year. The Reds left fielder suffered a torn flexor tendon in his elbow during a game against the Washington Nationals and will be out for at least 5-6 months. Club officials told BNN they do not expect him to return to the team this season.

This year Hughes is hitting .220 with 19 home runs and 36 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .336 clip and scored 40 runs.
