Rodríguez Hits in 20 Straight Games
Sunday, July 6th, 2025
With 1 hit at Oriole Park at Camden Yards today, Bernardo Rodríguez added another game to his hitting streak -- the Tampa Bay first baseman has now hit safely for 20 games in a row. But the hitting feat wasn't enough for the Rays today, as they fell, 6-5, to the Baltimore Orioles.
"Frankly, I don't care about hits," Baltimore manager Kendal Adare said later. "I'll let him get 5 hits in 5 at-bats if it means we get a win." Bernardo Rodríguez grounded out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Shelby Miller in the 4th, struck out in the 5th, grounded out in the 8th, grounded out in the 10th and walked in the 13th.
A look at his season totals shows Rodríguez with 16 home runs, .288 BA, .376 OBP, 47 RBIs and 56 runs scored.
