Done Deal: Cavender for Holbrook Monday, July 21st, 2025 It's all done except the paperwork. The Baltimore Orioles and the Colorado Rockies have agreed to a trade that will send 22-year-old minor league 3B Darryl Cavender and 17-year-old minor league RF José Moreno to Colorado, while 24-year-old RHP Mike Holbrook and a 3rd round draft pick will be shipped to Baltimore. A top front office executive with the Orioles described the trade talks as "quick and easy." "We're glad to get this deal done. We think it's something that helps our ball club and it didn't take too long at all to sort this one out," he said. This season-to-date, Holbrook has fashioned a 7-6 mark and 2.58 ERA in 108 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .241 against him and he has logged 72 strikeouts. |
