Braves End Brown's Streak Thursday, July 24th, 2025 The Los Angeles (N) Dodgers lost to the Atlanta Braves 5-4 today at Dodger Stadium, but perhaps the bigger news was the end of Leroy Brown's 21-game hitting streak. The second baseman went 0-for-5 on the day. "We felt if we could slow down Brown, we would win the game," Braves manager explained. "They really seemed to feed off his streak, so we tried to put more emphasis on shutting him down." Thus far this season Brown has hit .416 with 36 home runs, 86 RBIs and scored 80 times. |
